Our Spanish-language adaptation of "HIV: Getting Tested" is a question-and-answer pamphlet that offers a good overview of what an HIV test is and guidelines for deciding how often to get tested. It includes information about where and how to get tested and on FDA-approved home tests. It includes a section on a medication called PEP, which, if taken within 72 hours of possible exposure, can be effective at preventing HIV transmission. It also discusses privacy issues and what to do after you get the test result.
